Beneficiaries Stories
I am very proud to be associated with and very fortunate to be able to volunteer at Uncle Pauls Chilli Charity, working with the amazing staff and other volunteers doing tasks and learning new growing skills that not just benefit me but also others and if it were not for a chance meeting one of their very own beneficiaries who has benefited hugely from their time and experiences at Uncle Pauls.
This was at a point when I was feeling down and lacking confidence in myself they encourage me to apply to be volunteer and it was one of the best things to happen.
From my first day I found it was a relaxing safe space and I did not feel pressured to do anything and the staff are mindful and will always ask how I am feeling and my energy levels in mind for suitable tasks and jobs that needed to carried out each day.
When I visit it makes me feel relaxed and also gives me space to decompress as the work I am involved in can be stressful and mentally draining at times and It allows me time to reset and has allowed me to build my confidence in myself with the support and encouragement from all the staff at Uncle Paul's after a dark and upsetting period of time earlier this year, for which I am truly grateful to them all as it gave me confidence to apply for the current job I have and I feel I have gone from strength to strength throughout my time spent at Uncle Paul's Chilli Charity
